UKANDOIT GLOBAL – Tailor Made Program

Registration Form

Tailor-Made (TM) is a program that empowers individuals, especially women and LGBTQ individuals that have been victims of domestic or gender-based violence, to achieve financial independence. The program will provide individuals in need of a source of income, a path to acquire a new skill while working from home.

Participants will receive a sewing machine and training on how to use it to create face masks needed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The training program provided will be in charge of professionals in the Fashion and Artistic field, through the Empower for Success project.

The Tailor-Made program (TM) will be funded by matching the UKANDOIT GLOBAL CHALLENGE face mask finalist designs with sponsoring corporations, that will obtain a design of their choice and a thousand masks when entering the program, as well as the possibility to continue getting masks fabricated by participants of the TM program.

Conditions of the Tailor Made Program

• Training is offered free of charge to successful applicants.
• Applicants will be interviewed in zoom prior to acceptance.
• Participants are expected to commit to attending classes online.

Anyone can get COVID-19, but some people are more likely to end up in the hospital, or even the ICU, while ill with this new virus.

COVID-19 is killing people who otherwise would not have died.

Health experts and scientists agree that face masks can help slow the spread of COVID-19 and even save lives.

UKANDOIT GLOBAL is a high impact social innovation initiative to keep our local population protected by providing free face masks to our communities, with a specific focus on those most in need in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. At UKANDOIT GLOBAL, we want to boost the local economy by empowering our people to get involved, learn new skills, work from home sewing face masks to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

UKANDOIT GLOBAL is looking for hands to design a mask, hands to learn a new skill and work from home sewing a mask, and together develop resilience to future conjunctures as we continue to fight the spread of Covid-19.

The hands of the Sponsors are the most necessary to make this initiative sustainable. UKANDOIT GLOBAL is the best way to invest in the local community during this pandemic, as well as a way to remember those who have died during this pandemic and to help families in need during these tough economic times.
